Entanglement

Tendai Shaba

Unhealthy when love becomes a fix
Reasons to leave you, I can think of about six
I read about what Daisy did to Gatsby
When all Gatsby wanted was Daisy
Curious to know these strings we attach
Why "this is not serious"
becomes a matter of fact
But here I am now
With open arms and a heart full of love
Praying for something real, rather than something perfect
Praying for an unconditional attachment
Pursuing pure happiness rather than mere excitement
I would rather be lost in an imperfect world
Than wander around in a deep forest of entanglement
