It Has Been So Long

Charles_newOwner

It has been years since I see the sky as it once was-

light and blue,

it fills us with energy or perhaps it fills us with pride.

No one cared,

it was just us and the fairs.

It had been years since I saw them,

they have beards and some have major fears,

I hope to see them before we were old-

see the buddies,

see the schools,

see the fun we had,

and we were nothing but fools.

But now we are grown and we sit on a pinnacle of hate,

when will this climax end,

I am in need of the old times,

when will our hertaince fade away,

we want the memories that are far away.

It has been so long since I saw them laugh together,

it has been so long since I wined about bed-time,

it has been so long since I found my goals,

I wish the gold that we seek will turn back,

shimmers as it once was.

And the sky-

blue and light

will fill us in the pride we felt once before,

oh-boy... I'm not getting any younger,

what a thought.
