The demons within

Jade Wolf

There's a place of light in a land far away.
Where sun makes diamonds of dew drops,
And the birds sing sweet lullabies.
Where the water shines like a crystal,
And wild blossoms cover the face of earth.
A place of hope, where dreams come true.
Where the happiness is pure and profound.
There no evil lurks, no sorrow reigns,
And the love glows like a million stars.
To enter that doorway of starlight,
Is to let go of all pain, all sorrows forgotten.
No wars, no ill wills, no quarrels stain,
The pure light of that city of gold.

You wish to enter there with all your desire.
But the demons within the mind are relentless.
Spreading venom, killing everything good in the path.
Your dark soul and the oily blackness of your heart,
Spreading ruin within and out of your body's cage.
They ask; what have you done to earn your ticket?
Do you think you deserve to enter that sacred place?

Well, think again - and the cycle begins again...

Sinister, realistic, full of metaphor. Quite a nice read. That's just what I got from it 😛
