Lisa Gibson

Mother without a child

A mother without a child
Just wait a while they said
So much love to give
I don't want to live
The thing you are designed to do
I feel so useless
Inadequate in my shell of a body
I yearn to be completed
Questions, surprise, pity
So much love going to waste
Envy, darkness and sorrow
I haven't got a place

I don't know your current situation, but I would have thought that the production of a child into this highly unstable overpopulated world should be approached with extreme caution.

Dear Lisa, a very warm welcome to MPS, I feel your pain and completely understand your feelings, for those who simply cannot have children and for those who have lost them. This poem is so very powerful and will speak to an enormous group of woman in so many many ways. Thank you. From one heart to another I think you are incredibly brave. 💖

An emotive write. Sadly this situation is a reality for many.
