Brave and Free?

illia

Make way to massacre

Those pilgrims steps became

Such muddied glory

Tales of many woes

Their unified story

Make those younger

Embittered by greed

Love lust of bloodied and bruised

Make way to massacre

The origins of a new world

Hidden are the true

Broken are the brave

Pilgrims lust of bloodied slaves

Make way for falsehoods

Many braves ahead they stood

Myths and legends history told

Pilgrims voyage where lies unfold

Bitter are their tounges

Spite are their words

When light of truths

Comes round

A pilgrims falsehoods will be heard

Thank you for your kind words. This poem did indeed come effortlessly, I write as I feel, like a story already written in my head and It has to come out with waves of emotion, ripples of time are fluid I would imagine. We have to be at ease with our poems if not readers will not feel as I. Thank you
