birds in the sky

Jay-Lee Jane

Notice of absence from Jay-Lee Jane
just returned after losing my love for writing

Birds in the sky fly free,

so free.

Birds in the sky are free,

not me.

not me for who i am,

not me for you ma'am,

birds in the sky are free,

but not me.

slain and shackled: holey ground,

this newfound betrayal can be found.

Birds in the sky fly free, so free.

but not me.

      It’s poetic
      It’s beauty
Though pain and tears lace these lines
      Your free
      Cause your words are free
And with your words with wings
You shall fly from the cage you dwell in
      Well crafted poetry dear friend

Simple, yet it has depth. Short, but carries duration. A fantastic read. Well done.

Also I agree with not being free. (Me personally)
