Salt lick temptation
lures that dangle,
camouflaged darkness
masks and blinds
Easily captured
when most attracted,
flypaper memories
—trap and bind

to be caught-up in the nets
of life's unnecessary, distractions
since we were, but tadpoles
looking up, at those shorelines
to our evolutionary dreams..
