And the dark clouds
Above
Let fall their rain
And soaked all below,
As if to help, disguise
Their pain
The silent throng
Did bow,
In deep respect,
And with shoulders
Stooped
And faces grim
All slowly
Followed draped casket in.
Casket adorned
In flag, hat and gloves
Family and friends
Huddled together as if
Trtle doves.
The pain on their faces
plain to see
A few I am sure
Thinking
But for the grace of god
Go me
A Sermon is read
All eulogies spoken
But only those
With a heart
That has completely broken,
Can really feel
The burning pain and the deep despair,
When their eyes fall upon
Oak casket lying there
And with love and memories
Rolling down their cheeks
The almighty above
Decides to speak
And as the speaker within
Asks all to pray
The dark storm outside
Has the final say
The thunder’ roars
And then a lightning flash
As if the angels above
Are unlocking the heavenly gates
And removing
Its latchs.

really well written, a joy to read
poetic words, that convey
that grace of sincerity, in our grief
thanks for sharing
