Within Me – 1

I was outside
and I stood...watching something
that I wanted to become but couldn’t right now
due to various factors...and I just wanted to hide.

I was like...angry at myself
for not having what the other person has
and sad for the same reason as well;
I can only say that I had to experience it so that I can tell…
...tell myself that my life is different
and the other person’s life is meant to be special ‘that way’…
...the way that I would like to also have
but couldn’t...not even today.

I also live life in a way that the other person
does not have;
So then...what am I looking at here?
A life which I do not have...but there is a reason
because none of us are meant to be the same
but instead...unique and different,
I guess...I long for something else too
even though it may or may never be true.
