To Bathe in Peace

Anna Colette

When I take a bath,

I lose my senses

I stare at nothingness

While the drip... drip of the faucet keeps me grounded

For I cannot close my eyes or I will drift away.

I dunk underwater, wishing to be surrounded by the warmth

And the tap... tap always sounds

I wonder where it comes from

Maybe it's my imagination,

So I quickly emerge and breathe heavily

I cannot take baths in peace

For my mind is far greater than any force.

Sounds like your mind is in overdrive, and strangely enough, the relaxing bath that is supposed to help you has just added to the problem.
