An immaculate motherland,
Now soiled with disgrace,
Stripped of her riches,
Clad in our waste.
The untamed atrocity,
That obliterated all splendour,
That cursed all creation,
What dishonour was rendered!
An embodiment of magnificence,
A mother to the brave,
Cursed with a race,
That made her beauty's grave.

Indeed mother nature has truely suffered at the hands of man, we are only care takers so maybe it is time we all showed the world some care. Lovely poem.
I agree completely! Thank you:)
Something tells me, mother nature is fighting back and will definitely win in the end.
Absolutely Paul, it's only a matter of time. If we can't develop sustainably, we are sure to lose this fight.
Thanks for your comment:)
an important write!
thanks for sharing
Thank you! π
Are we reckless
Are we ignorant
We donβt love the hands that nurtures and take it for granted
And when she is angry, we blame her
Not realising how much did we hurt
Very insightful and necessary lines
Thanks a lot dear poet for shedding light
