Obscurity

Draven

Full of scorpions is her mind...

regardless, she goes on,

walking through the darkness,

even though there is no light to be seen in the distance.

She puts her trust into the great unknown;

each step, one great leap.

The more she progresses,

the more she accepts

the mind, and what an obscurity it is.

A leap of Faith rather than just staring into the abyss simply embrace it and damn the consequence. Powerful penning

      Thank you πŸ™‚

A wonderfully written definition here Draven, on what it is to take risks.

The penultimate line in this poem is an important one, as you try in life to remain in control, something in the "ether" is wanting you to try something new, which can be adventurously refreshing!

Bravo, and I hope that all is well!

Thanks for reading! I am glad I hit that nail on the head πŸ˜€

        Good write D.
I had a bee in me bonnet. Similar thing? lol.

        • Draven

          Thank you!
          I'm afraid I don't follow?

It's a (English/UK?) saying - have a bee in one's bonnet - to have an obsession about something. So I was more scared about getting 'stung' by that imaginary bee, than by a scorpion! lol.
I talk all metaphorical sometimes! Long word there! lol.

            • Draven

Ahh, yeah I'm familiar with the saying but I didn't get the context. Sure scorpions, bees, same shit haha. You get the drift πŸ˜‰
The scorpions in ones mind is from Macbeth and is about indecisiveness and anxiety over decisions, morals etc.

Erm, yes, same sh...umthing, as said in an old comedy film!

I'm glad it is easily relatable! It's my world too!

But will the great unknown put its trust in her.

                  • Draven

Hmm, does it even go both ways?

Your poems are dark yet somehow positive. Excellent workπŸ™‚
