That Beautiful Face

Charles Edward York

That beautiful face,

that bright mind,

those inquisitive and caring eyes!

How I have longed and traveled far

To come home to such

Fantastic shores,

Such glittering fanfare,

So alluring bright worlds

That make my pulse rise

And my heart glow!

Emotional verse

Pours forth when you

Surface from

My daily thoughts,

Inspired deeds,

And all my curiosities

Calibrated into understanding

Meaning and acceptance

Of everything as significant,

Of everything alive!

You are such poetry

Anything within

Your scope becomes

Resonant and teeming

Infinitely abundant

Energy and passion

Transforms me

I radiate your warmth,

Exude your youth,

And shine with love!
