Rejection

AnAlpaca

The pain of rejection,
The loss of affection,
Is a cross to bear,
Cause love ain't fair!
The cheats and liars,
Seem to light their fires.
I try to be calm and silent,
But in this climate,
All efforts are in vain,
So I'll end this campaign.
Suffering for naught,
Is the lesson taught.
Experience, a harsh master,
All tries end in disaster.
Deeds go to waste,
Faith in humanity misplaced.
My heart goes on the shelf,
I'll live only for myself.
The pain of rejection,
Is worth introspection.

  • Comment from author about the poem: So tired of rejection. Maybe it's a part of life, still, it stinks and wish I didn't have to deal w/ it.

I really like this one! Great rhyme and rhythm, great job! And, rejection is tough, but I promise you will get over it. I did.
