Moondusts

Melany

I was eighteen and he was nineteen,

We lived a romantic dream.
Promises made, never to fade..
young love, we sweetly shared.

I was a fool, he was not cool...
'Twas February but comes July...
Too short a time,
things didn't rhyme...
promises turned out a lie.

I was the girl and he was the boy...
In a moment suspended in time.
We ended apart,
but guess in our hearts...
the moon spell was cast.

That night together...
When we promised forever
The pale moon was watching.
Now two world's apart, but inside our hearts...
The moon dusts are staying.
