Keep Hold

Fay Slimm.

Keep Hold.

"Only deep can be answered by deep"
 to metaphor this might belong.

Extra thought may stir more imagery.

"Nothing that floats in shallow waters
can to a depth call respond"

*

A poetic translation goes as follows.

*

Needed is bottomless care of those
despondently sinking.

Helping tough passage thru' flood
succeeds better if all
having struggled before keep hold

of thrown life-rafts given

in love so others can climb aboard.

*

*

Hope this ode gives food for thought.

A life line is always a good thing we all need help now and again if only we are brave enough to ask for it. Very lovely piece☺

    Good write Fay.
Someone threw me a line, well, a raft. But it had holes in it, cos they had heard me singing before! lol.
The mad adventures of Orchi and Fido.

I'm reading that those in deep troubled states can only really feel the rescue of those who have found themselves in deep troubled states also. Though light hearted reassurances and a cup of tea are nontheless a comfort to keep one afloat a while.

So Miss Fay is back with bang
    Such powerful thoughts
    Kept striking
    I read
    And I read again
    Too deep yet so true
    Wonderful dear poet
