Raise

Younique

When I raise my hand in the air

it gets shot down by a million stares

seeking a pair of eyes that cares

When I raise my voice for those around

all they do is look down

and now I have a fallen crown

When I raise the bar

they say I haven't gotten far

then they tear me apart

Why when I raise nobody praises

when I sink everyone's in link

when I shed a tear no fears

that I might disappear

If I raise and no one praises

then I've been played for ages

In a society that is corrupt

But you can change

I CAN CHANGE
