Stolen Senses

Ria

Stealing my tongue.

Manipulating my words to seek confirmation that your cruelty was just.

Asking for an ear.

Only to weaponise a moment you painted as reconcile.

Wiping my eyes.

With your invalidation to reinforce a sense of reason you cannot articulate.

Expecting touch.

So you can feel, without regard for how your actions feel to others.

Sweet aromas burn.

Masking the stench of resentment that now fills our home.
