Tears of a mother

Younique

War strips a mother of her son

she waits and prays that he's

not gone

Her sad, lonely eyes bag through the day

while it causes her pain that her

son is away

she carries on as if her son is still here

wishing madly that he was near

Full of embrace from a helping hand

closer to what was once a boy is now

 a man
