Christmas

James Alexander

Church bells ringing

choruses singing

bells and music playing

cheerfully everywhere

bright lights shining

along busy streets of

stores brimming with

holiday trimmings

shoppers gaily dressed

party goers attending

lavash holiday parties

attired in their best

storefronts and houses

decorated brightly

happy family dinners

full of holiday treats

with presents under

brightly shinning trees

while

poverty stricken families

going without a tree

or presents underneath

depending on a handout

for their Christmas repast

poorly dressed homeless

men, women and children

hands out asking for cash

what does Christmas

mean to thee who has

so much to share when

only prayers to God

from those in despair

and mankind’s

un-willingness

to care

And of course that kind hearted christian god always provides and never does any harm. Shame about the deaths he could prevent.... or maybe your god isn't that powerfui or worse... a myth... heavens forbid LOL. But I'm sure he's there for the gullible who accept excuses for his non intervention in disasters.
Merry Christmas (a pagan event hi-jacked and renamed by christians)

Whatever god gets someone thru a dark period in their life is the god of choice christian or otherwise. Christmas besides being a religious holiday is also a celebration of good will to men, helping those less fortunate and ugly sweater parties. You have strong opinions, shows character. Thank you for your comment.

feel free to put your faith in what you choose to believe-in,
but if you're going to share with the world
you're gonna come across some resistance
from those who oppose your choices, even
if you haven't done a single thing to them,
and no one forces them to comment on your write,
it's engrained - into their warped hate
you exist, so they must hate..
(don't take it too personal, sadly
      it's just modernity's, cost
for expressing Any theological beliefs, unless its science
science is a religion that's tolerated in modernity...
      thanks for sharing)
