To calm the heart

Blue Violet

these too shall pass, they said

still, I have to live it through

ironic how my mind knows enough

but my heart is still a child

a fool.

it cries to all the bad happens

it aches and tears my soul

please calm yourself, little

that’s just how life is,

when you grow.

can’t shed tears over every obstacle

can’t wish for death every time feel low

can’t run away from all the pain

take a deep breath…

and move forward, no matter how slow.

Your writing is beautiful , my mind is a mess........

    • Blue Violet

        (I strive to write poetry
        that flows as effortlessly
        and conquers hearts, as subtly
        as your lines)
what a privilege to witness your poetic growth,
        and read your memorable words
        thank you!
for choosing to share, dear Poet

I am overwhelmed with joy. I appreciate your kind words, dear Poet. I learn more from your lines, also.
