Requiem for love

Jade Wolf

He was made of sunlight
She was night personified
His brightness so brilliant
Her light so tranquil
His temper always flaring
She moved so calmly
They met in an eclipse
Turning the sky dark
The tides were high
The world turned cold
But tried as they might
They could never embrace
He got so furious
She turned more blue
His flare got brighter
She dimmed her glow
He kept burning the sand
She kept raising the ocean
Destined to be apart
One rose, one fell
Round and around
They followed their motion
Sky shedding tears
The stars holding requiem

  • Comment from author about the poem: It doesn't only talk about love but the dreams as well... some dreams are just not meant to be anything more than a wish... And maybe its okay... maybe its better that way... maybe we're better off without it...
