Loneliness Owns Me

Tainted Sunrise

Defeated, there is no battle left to fight

Some say that there is always going to be another day

But I know that is a lie

Screaming inside, nobody hears what I have to say

Always being alone, you realise things that others don’t

You crave the tiniest connection

Praying the someone will find you

And value every imperfection

But there is no one like that

They only lead you in misdirection

I wonder what true friendship feels like

And the happiness it can bring

To have the ability to finally speak your thoughts

And purge the loneliness with a comfort upswing

But I know that it can be no more than a dream

Something for which I crave

Because lonely is all I will ever be

Until I reach my grave

Loneliness is something no human should experience, it steals your life from under you. I've noticed this year, a lot of buddy services have started up, which can only be good. You'll never be lonely on here, though probably would advise giving my poem a miss.
