I AM FREE
An imbalance of thoughts and words, stone stares tend to cross the plastic smiles that are adorned across one’s face
Knowing that the heart doesn’t beat the same, laughter has no existence and numbness shields the pain
Emptiness, that reoccurring feeling, so much as the water is still, breathing halts as a breath is caught, clinching on to what’s left of your strength
Ill prepared by a hurricane of mixed feelings, lost in the memories of a distant past
Shared moments from yesterday that you knew would always last
Songs playing in the wind, moving through trees, In flight blessings, traveling at full speed, spiritually awakened by a masked happiness, a gift unseen
The inability to process the sensibility of now, craving for peace, a yearning for inner calmness, a sound condition of an unforeseen appearance
The mountains whistles hymns as the moon presents light that illuminate the soul
Delivering balance to shattered spirits that is seemingly less than whole
The debt of relinquishing fears, a worthy and awaited change
The visibility of looking through glass doors is now a new and welcomed exchange
A coarse road, yielding to faith, a burden not meant to carry alone
Life’s expectancy has past and you begin to wonder when you too will go home
Because…Life can be an unexpected delivery, but in peace, there is happiness, for
I AM FREE
Dedicated to my friends who have lost wonderful people in their lives

Hi this is really nice and so much depth in your writing. There is great optimism towards the end. Every word is truely said and the mix of emotions we go through in our life when we lose someone that is really close to us. But at the end of the day, the show must go on.
