ALTITUDE

Amaka_TheFirst

Bask in his mercy and grace
Just trying to finish this race
With all the disgrace that I faced
I just want it all to fade

Suggestions on what I should I do
Who I should be or how I should move
At the end of the day, only his opinion is true

Living life as best as I could
Go with the flow is not what I choose
I am in charge of creating the narrative, oh what a muse

Movement and motion, two concepts never really understood
Is backward movement a part of the notion too?
Because most times to go higher, I've got to come down to scope the view

God putting my pieces back together
All there is was asunder
Now moving in the path he set out for me
I'm unfolding into all that he wants me to be

The truest form of freedom is finding your image in Christ
Free from all the lies that you've been fed with in the past
Rejuvenating, illuminating, a few of the words of expression from freedom at last
I'm asking for your guidance God, even when it seems the stone has been cast.

Good measure, pressed down and shaken together
A few of the promises that made me surrender
Hope for a life spent with you
Freedom in your kingdom, that's my attitude
Make no mistake, I don't try to show face or hide face
At the end of the day, only you determines my altitude.
