The Gypsy Fortune Teller

Andrea_Martinez

With eyes that can see the future, she sees all the pain

And all the tears, as they fall like rain

She will tell you your destiny though it brings her sorrow

Because she can see your past, present & tomorrow

Deep within she wishes she didn’t know

It’s like a haunting shadow

Other peoples suffering the memories stay with her

As the years go by like a blur

People come all over to listen to her tales

She tries not to give to many details

Or it will lead them off their path, the journey it would be wrong

Because it won’t be good, any aftermath that comes along

They give the silver coin she tells them what she can see

All the good things, the bad she lets be

The good, that’s all people want to hear anyway

At the end of the day

She hides the sad misfortune, things she wishes she never saw

She feels broken hearted and at the end leaves her raw

She sees the good times but also the bad

Sometimes she thinks she will go mad

As she sees your death, with friends & family all around

Or watches them die in horrific ways & buried underground

Their anguish cry the only sound

Those that will be lost and never found

All say she is gifted, she knows it really a curse

To see their deaths, suffering there is nothing worse

She prays that people’s past, present & future was a secret place

So she can have a happy life, with a genuine smile upon her face.
