“A Worthy Life”
Many pontificate on what living a worthy life needs to be
They speak of living in harmony with yourself and others
Work is often quoted in their dialogue
Love and friendship is always on the table
Devotion to community and country rates high too
A love of learning gets a check mark on their scorecard
Spiritual awareness rolls off their tongues very easily as well
Seems to me that all of these are grand aspirations for so many
But I doubt that any human being fighting for their life
In a war-torn or drought ravaged country has any time to ponder
What living a “Worthy Life” means
Perhaps living a “Worthy Life” means aspiring to be “A Humanitarian”
If this is the case, then the global community is failing so many around the world today
While many contemplate and agonize over what might make their lives worthy
