The Sun Loves You

Charles Edward York

And from this moment on I know

The Sun loves you with its presence

Golden shades of cinnamon

Mocha and warm cream

Not simply suggested

Manifested

Echoes and ripples

Of so many stars

In your face, breasts

And slender legs of spicy tan.

The Sun really loves you totally

As if desire and dreams birthed you

From dark original magic

Vines over a red flower

So much mystery

And delicious discovery

A vibrant pulse

Your heart on fire

Between your thighs

Of sculpted sensuous Earth.

Your heart shaped apple ways

Two loaves of swelling baking bread

Rise ever so softly

Beneath my gentle hands

Greeting my daring desire

We move in rhythm

Waxing and waning moons

Moaning primal music

As if destined as one

Unbridled release.
