Old Flame

Daniel Reeves

Goodbye old flame. The candle has gone out. The pain doesn't seem the same. The clouds of darkness have all faded into the night, along with your memories. There's no more rain.

Goodbye old flame. You put the light out yourself when you caused me such pain. What a shame! A love like mine will never come again for you. A love like mine is hard to find, just the same.

Goodbye old flame. You have caused the gates of hell to prevail against you and you cannot do a thing. The moment you had to fix it, you let slip by and like an Eagle it took to the sky. Goodbye old flame, Goodbye.
