Can you say you are free
When you can not go to Italy.
Can you say you have a normal life
When you are not allowed to hug your wife.
Can you say you are brave
When you accept to be slave.
Your leg is on a chain
but you don't want to complain.
Can you say you are smart
without any critical thoughts, watching the news, following the trends,
lacking of social competence.
Wearing a mask must make you have fun
although you cannot recognize your son.
You don't feel any frustrations
otherwise you will go out and take part in demonstrations.

So begins my increasing collection of Covid poetry. This is the first I dared to read and am not disappointed. Perhaps one day, I shall join in and write my own.
