Merry Christmas?

AnAlpaca

Another holiday, another day,
Walking down life's hallway.
No one to see,
Nowhere to go.
I make my plea,
Echoing over snow.
Phone quiet,
Steady diet,
Of isolation,
Bitter desolation.
Hard not to hate,
Can't even get a date.
No knocks upon my door,
Only me walking the floor.
No tree or lights,
Lonely, quiet nights.
Nah, don't feel merry at all,
Life is just lazy and banal.

It may be Christmas but with those of us with problems / sadness … it’s just another day ,

I’ve had a rubbish day .. meant to be enjoyable isn’t it

    A good poem )

Nicely written. I agree with yellowrose - just another day
