Decisions decisions

Jane Walker

We're on to Christmas number two
With this damn coronavirus
Government seems not to know what to do
for the best for us survivors

Lock us down or party on
Decisions, decisions at least just make one

Another new variant deserving a name
Alpha, Beta, Delta, Omicron
Sadly they aren't exactly the same
How long will it be before there's another one

Lock us down or party on
Decisions, decisions just make one

Christmas day has come and gone
A roast with trimmings and pigs in blankets
The Queen, the speech then a movie on
Piece of Christmas cake that's just the ticket

Lock us down or party on
Decisions, decisions please just make one

We're expecting news on the 27th
If things will change or remain the same
No-one knows what it'll be worth
Or if it's just the same old game

Lock us down or party on
Decisions, decisions for goodness sake just make one

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is our 2nd Christmas with covid around. This just tries to make sense of the frustration about not knowing what is going to happen on whether or not we\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'ll be back in lockdown
