THE MOON THAT I WANT

                              THE MOON THAT I WANT    -DY 

There's a moon

Far and far away

Which I haven’t seen till today

I’ve read many tales

About that mystical moon,

But to date, I’ve not found it.

I’ve been waiting for that moon to shine on me

I’ve been searching for that moon in all lands

Some say it shines gloriously

But I think his heart is solitary

Some say his eyes are like starry skies

But I think it’s not visible it’s in high

The breeze softly touches its silky hair

And maybe he sighs in despair

His moments are filled with splendor

Everyone’s heart tunes in his arrival

Everything becomes alive in his presence

And so and so the tales go…….

There are numerous tales that talk of him

This world is filled with tales of him

Even though some left them on the way

You’ll get it hidden in each one’s heart

Even though it’s filled with beauty

And splendor all around

It’s filled with flaws when you see it close

Maybe therefore it hides himself                                      

Away from all and himself

Hangs in high

In a faraway land

Afraid he won’t be able to

Fulfill the tales that speak of him

But even though he’s filled with flaws

Even though it cannot stand the expectation

Even though it cannot achieve the perfection

I want that moon filled with flaws

I want that moon to shine on me

Not for a day or today

But forever and always

To stay by me for every moment

To catch a glance and close my eyes

To hold him and fill him in a jar

That mysterious moon

That I read in tales

I want that moon

That shines in a faraway land

I want that moon…….
