beautiful and necessary

there are these scratches u didn't feel when u got them but now u like to run ur fingers over them 

small bruises from when someone held too tightly and now they are ur Deja vu of the source but also of the healing

and even still we continue to be careless with ourselves and clumsy with others

inevitably we will give and receive scars and once u get over that

 things won't look the same as before the initial hit

and u go on to realize that maybe some scars are beautiful and necessary after all

it is as if they were there all along
