You check off my sentiments
As if they are expected
Unexceptional
And then walk away
Inconveniently
So I feel out of orbit
Unimportant
A foreign object
On your lips.
So I keep walking by myself
Fine when falling apart
Smiling
Yet sadly straining
Beneath the gravity of
Distracting priorities
Abandoned
For other smiles
And alluring favorites.
Walking off the cliff seems
Inviting since my feelings
Get tossed over
Crashing on rocks
Breaking me in two
Times a million tears
Imitating rain
Drenching me through
In private agony.
