The flow of depression

willsmithye

You lay there for hours, while this cloak of greyness flows over you, pushing down on you, suffocating you. You want the rivers of emotion to flow, and you call for it, but you have nothing but a drought. Your mind as fluid as water, constantly shifting, eroding. The waves in your mind are like a tsunami and you have been dropped in the middle of the ocean. Nothing to help you, no ground. You’re being swallowed by a 20 feet tall wave and the moment it crashes into you; you start to drown. Lungs suffocating. Emotions building. You feel the water creep into your eyes.
