Different now

Beatrice4abandon

She never felt too pretty and now all the beauty is in her scars; you can see how gorgeous she is now that it's up and down her arms.

She smiles a little less and laughs a little quieter a small little light that's shines less brighter.

She can't trust anyone the same and wants to run and hide, to pull and away and erase the pain that will always hold her tight.

Tighter than any hug from any mother or father. In fact if they saw me now what would they say about their precious daughter.

Because she loved and loved until there was no more and now her hearts lives in the floor, but unlike the tell-tale heart; there's only one beat and its not from the heart, but from all the peoples feet.

Everyone who walked right on my tiny little soul, who passed it on and knocked it down a mental totem pole.

You took my light and extinguished it whole and it never lit back the way it once was.

Excellent insightful writing. Took me where i have not been, to the other side of what i have only seen.
