A Sky Painted With Silence

JEG325

not a single bird chirped in trees
nor did the winds whisper to me
clouds passed by with no refrain
twilight's sky but a noiseless sea

no crickets to announce eventide
nor did waves crash on the beach
the stars spoke not a single word
tho it seemed they were in reach

bleak hues of black existed there
in the voiceless world's reticence
once you left you took my sound
leaving me
a
sky
painted
with
silence

I hope I do. This is from a memory. I have a wonderful lady now. But, I still remember what it was like. Thanks for your support, BB!
