Oftentimes, what doesn’t get said
—makes the loudest sound
(Hotel Majestic Saigon, Vietnam: January, 2014)
Business Tenet #1
It’s not about what’s right...
but about who has the power
to dictate what’s right

Above The Tree Line
Somewhere West of where he was,
and East of where he’d been
The mountains called their distant cry,
a pleading heard within
The alpine air, the red-tailed hawk,
their spirits hail his name
To thence return, the past on fire
—his freedom to reclaim
(Chief Joseph Highway: September, 2021)

PS Back. Happy New Year to you too 🙂
Very profound, Kurt.
I know you are a rider but even if I didn't the feel the ride.
Thanks Jerry. I bought my first motorcycle in 1964 (BSA Gold Star).
It's been one of the true loves of my life. I wrote 'Searching For Crazy Horse'
from the seat of my bike.
My son and I did a 6300 mile ride in late August, early September (last year.)
I'm counting the days till Spring. We're talking about doing Alaska again.
Thanks so much.
Kurt
Kurt,
Great reads…especially ‘Above The Tree Line’. Your written words are insightful and engaging. I can sense and feel the love and call of your beloved West…for you. It must be an exhilarating experience each time you travel on the Chief Joseph Highway.
Thank you for sharing.
