Blue Jacket

Jerry Wayne Lawrence

Closet, Still Open. Again, It's Cold Enough 4 My Blue Jacket.

Rocket Emblazoned On The Back. Yeah, It's Rather Trendy.

Quietly, I Get On Outside. Surprisingly, Nobody N Our Full House Noticed.

Brightened N Spirit By Both Warmth & Night. Quite Alright. Feeling The Pricy Timepiece N My Pocket.

Sunset Was Hours Ago. The People Passing R Only Familiar As I Enjoy This Time On The Driveway.

Stray Cat Following A Pretty Girl I Used 2 Go With Keeps Me Smirking.

Hurting Head Eases The More I Remember Just How Much I Love My Ol' Blue Jacket.

Let Me Tell About How I Got It Another Time.

Dime, Then A Dollar Found N The Same Inner Pocket. Can't Remember When I Put Them There.

Air Bounces Off My Blue Jacket. No Wonder, My Blue Jacket, I So Adore.

Store, Here I Come. I've Lucked Up On Just Enough 2 Buy Whatever Interesting Packet. If The Right Clerk Is N I'll B Able 2 Get @ Least 2.

    I really enjoy
    this kind of focused poetry
    a topic, so personal
    and somewhat random
    yet, 'a slice of life'
    unfurled, deep dived
    and presented, poetically relatable
    for all to delve within,
    in such a succinct
    yet poignantly detailed write..
    (you really showcase
how much effort, you've put in
to this inking thing, we do
    as your practised skill, overflows
    and demonstrates the ease
with which you roll your thoughts
    in-to eloquently worded, art
    still, the hardest skill
    known to humanity)
    thanks for sharing
and H appy N ew Y ear, dear poet
