a romany romance

GardenDelights

as toasty sunbeams dissolved meadowsweet mists
in a little known garden where lepidoptera freely roamed
a gypsy lord and his lady dined out together

she, a damsel in a dress of sizzling sunset orange
he, a gentleman wearing diamond studs on his wingtips
gleefully consuming fluffy saffron dinner plates al fresco

she smiled, recalling his admiring the cinnamon glaze
    of her dress
he hummed his joy that she lauded the glitter
    of his lily white solitaires

she rapidly fluttered her delicate wings, hinting readiness
he assented as they launched together into ocean blue skies
