The Twenty-Eights #Brixton

"The Twenty-Eights"

An estimated 250 gangs exist in London, yet only one set the foundation from the ground/
They were based around Brixton, South London, & it was one hell of a foundation they laid down
In Brikky town back in the mid-eighties, a bunch of man known as the 28s formed as a gang/
Killerman, Bandit, Jim Jim, Squidley, PB, Hustler, Sykes, seven of the names of the 28 man
From this 28 man fam came another 28s gang, known as the Younger Twenty-Eights/
Back in the early nineties, gaining notoriety from robbing building societies, POs and banks
Loverboy, Quincy, Beaver, Flowers, Jahbi, these times these man had the money game on lock/
Shortman, Kboy, Ninja, Nolan, Gunman Joe, top boys, London, weren't nobody taking their spot
Their rise to the top was inevitable, what with the amount of money & respect they possessed/
The 28s had every gang in London shook, and that goes for North, East, South and West
They were hitting a different lick everyday, so meant weren't a single bureau de change safe/
So if you remember the spate of 90's bank robberies, then most probably it was the Eights
I can honestly say the reputation that they have to this day, holds a weight like no other/
The love & loyalty is clearly evident, being in the presence of Lovez & a couple of 8 brothers
Though more of a family than a gang now, their notorious reputation remains the same/
Because these are serious guys, who live very serious lives and seriously it isn't a game.
