Why Did You Go?

Ameljor

You tore out my heart

Pulled it apart

And left me standing in the dark

You are so funny and so smart

Why is it that we had to part?

I’m crying tears for all those years

I hid from you my deepest fears

Now I see how fast you run

And tell me loudly we are done

Did I not give you so much fun

Dancing fervently under the sun?

I beg you now to please don’t go

I’m always waiting for you to show

Or tell me something I don’t know

If I could see you one more time

How it would be of great sublime

Each day I’m hoping you will be mine

Once again sing in perfect rhyme

Even though you wish to be free

Nothing and no one can take from me

The love I have and the memories.
