The Blue House

 “The Blue House”         1/10/2022

We moved into our blue house.

The yard was fenced .

The neighbors were old.

The kids were still little.

Here at the blue house

Our family grew

With 2 little kitties

So young and new.

The blue house blossomed in the spring

With loads of flowers and other things

The grass needed fixing

But not many other things

That summer I got engaged

He got on one knee

Right there in the kitchen

He said, “will you marry me?”

2 years we spent at the blue house

I was sad to see it go

But we will always remember

Leaving can teach us to grow.

A lovely, sentimental reverie about the blue house, getting engaged, and early marriage. Moving on, I agree, makes you grow.
