Amputee

sophin

There are days

it hurts so bad

phantom pain shooting up

severed nerves

there are days

everything is wrong

i am out of tears

so instead i scream

and when i scream

i convey the words

my mind cannot

it says:

your absence

aches, like a lost limb

or perhaps

a lost heart.

Powerful words. Relationships are the limbs of our souls. Nicely done!

  • Paul Bell

Love sure is a broken heart in the making, then we go and do it again.
