Mental Drill

Madelyn James

Not knowing why
The catalyst that flys
It sucks the air out
of my existence.

Depression looms
in the air of my room
I can't take another day
The crash and continual wave.

I do ask "why me?"
And cry, cry and cry.
There is no liberty
As it moves into infinity.

I will get through again
The pain will lift once more.
But the constant drill
Is a damn strong pill.
