A day is born

ScorpionSun

I wake before you rise

Its twilight and even though its still dark

I know it's not night.

I walk up the stairs and open the curtains

Im picturing a new day

A new beginning.

Just a few moments before the day begins to break

Bright pinks and deep purples begin to ascend from the eastern sky.

The sun is just waking up in the skyline.

I can't take my eyes off

The scenery captivates and inspires me

This day is new

Light begins to trickle in through the big living room windows

 Animals begin to wake.

I hear the birdsong.

This is the sound of the day being born.

The purples and pinks begin to turn orange.

I hear the buses and trash trucks on their routes.

Time to kiss the kids goodbye as they leave for school.

Coffee hot.

House quiet.

I enjoy the last crowning of the day

Oranges fade to yellow and blue.

Clouds stretched thin over the entire sky.

Good morning.
