Trial and Retribution

"Trial and Retribution"

Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns honesty becomes my prey/
I look for justice, but find none, as for deliverance, it is far away
There is no justice in their paths, so the way of peace, they do not know/
I intend to repay wrath to all my enemies, and retribution to all my foes
No one who walks with them shall be safe, they have turned into crooked roads/
As I put on the garments of vengeance, and wrap myself in zeal, as in a cloak
They shall grope along the wall, feeling their way like men without any eyes/
As our sins testify against us, their offences are many in my sight
Their tongues have muttered wicked things, and their hearts have uttered lies/
They have hatched the eggs of vipers, and whoever eats these eggs shall die
They have relied on empty arguments, whilst their hands are stained with blood/
I shall destroy their humble abodes, and send their children home to God
Maybe their ears are too dull to hear, until they descend to the grave itself/
No one pleads my case with any integrity, so when least expected, I shall myself
From the rising of the morning sun, I shall arrive like a pent up flood/
You both chose to growl like bears, now you shall moan mournfully like doves.
