Do you still think of me,
When he tells you you’re pretty,
Late at night and he’s calling you,
I know you remember when I did that too
Do you still think of me,
When he makes promises he can’t guarantee,
Missing you at night as I cried,
Whilst you were standing right by his side
Do you still think of me,
When he tells you what you two could be,
Hugging him whilst you’re wearing my sweater,
I should’ve known you’d find someone better

I like that without wording resentment
you expressed it, so vividly
personally I think bad breakups
are natural and not being able
to be happy for our ex
is just a form of validation
for how much we valued them
in our lives, well
at least initially..
thanks for sharing
I got her through her lowest points in her life and all I wanted then was for her to be happy and she is now. I just wasn’t prepared for it to be without me
yup, been there
got the bloody, tear-shirts
nothing to add, in terms of insight
just that
the quicker we realise, since
we offered our help, love and Time - freely
out of the yearning to see them 'do good'
we can't go back and add stipulations
on what their own vision of 'doing good'
should or can be
just gotta let it go, somehow
(alcohol helps) lol
