L. B. Mek

We, truth Scribbler’s: few

let us truth Scribbler’s, few

ink-out

our Cypress Tree of insight,

as ‘they’ smirk; we type away

inking

life’s off-beat scenes, eloquently

indulging, our poetic creativity

in-sync

 with our distinctly distilled, sincerity

Love the depth within such brevity ☺

    • L. B. Mek

      'hidden brevity, to most
      but those that choose
      to question
      and one day: hopefully Glean
      a modicum of understanding
      at the very most...'
(thank you! for writing such a concise
      and wonderfully inspiring comment
      dear poet)

Do we have a choice. Our voices haunt us needing redemption of the page. The pains of expressing deep held emotion, frustration of conversion to the written word.... relief that the words have formed before us though tainted that someplace along the way they were traded for a convenience of another thought or more....

Being poetic, a mixed blessing of bliss and frustration.

    • Valerie

      Absolutely love this piece.
      Expression through art is hard
because you are constantly self criticizing and trying to how to find words
that not only express your emotions,
      but satisfy the reader.

      • L. B. Mek

        this be that duality, underlining
        all of existence:
        scribbling away to self-express, freely
        while having
to be mindful of those other's
we ask to review and merit
        this very act of independence
we ink, with all the sincerity
        we can amount - to
        in that one snippet
        of an inspired moment..
till a spark forms, and we do it all again
'masochism in its poetic: form' lol
        (what a brilliant unfurling
of my humble scribble, dear poet
        thank you!)

Words are powerful and must be handled with care. They also have to be sincere, and sometimes leave a message that gets you thinking.

        • L. B. Mek

          or simply
          make you laugh, heartily
          till all
          your accumulated cobwebs, of life
          are tear-streaked, forgotten
if for a poetic: healing moment...!
(glad you enjoyed the read, dear poet
thank you! for all the healing moments
          you choose to gift us)

          And very elegantly written. 💖

            from your typing fingers
to those poetic masters, we lookup to
            for our inking's guidance..
(a take on that archaic term:
'from your lips to God's ears')
            thank you, my cherished friend
            for always adding
            that touch of poetic, class
            to my humble scribbles

A true poet writes with his own blood as ink... you too...

            • L. B. Mek

              name it experience, wisdom, insight
              or mere, humble talent
              name it what you will
              but its all, crimson inked
              in-to our tangible reality's
              by that pumping heartbeat
              of gotta have
              'lived-it: to imagine-it'
              artistry of Will and zest
              for life's, inspirational
              moments
              transmuted into our poetic
              words...!

            • Buzz Bray

Dylan Thomas is come and gone...his blood turned to words. This is great!

              • L. B. Mek

'and death shall have no dominion'
(as he so brilliantly - coined it)
a privilege to have that Welsh Genius mentioned
                on this, mere wannabe's page
                thank you, kind poet

              • Rozina

A very enjoyable read. So true.

So very true Mek, let us scribble away in our world of words.

                  • L. B. Mek

                    'world of words'
how poignant a term of solace
in this most chaotic of Time's, my friend
                    indeed: shall we
                    'you lead
                    and I'll, endeavour
                    to heed'

                  • spilleronsheet

                    And in those lines
                    I saw numerous lives
                    Including mine
Thanks dear Mek for such deep insights

                    • L. B. Mek

                      this is an Amazing, gift
                      of a comment
just an arrowed wording, to feed
                      all my meagre ambitions
for this, most humble of scribbles..
                      thank you! kind poet
                      so Very much

                    • Fay Slimm.

Powerful invite that hits who it strikes and affects this reader with heartfelt inspiration to scribble on and tell it as it is. With you in freeing scribes' self-expression all the way dear L.B.

                      • L. B. Mek

                        oh no
you're no mere scribbler, dear Fay
can't hide your level of poetic magnificence
                        behind mere humility
                        like us wannabe's, my friend
you're that next tier, and there
                        on pure merit!
                        send any doubters my way
I'll take a quick gander through my favourites
                        and have
them singing your praises, in double time
                        easily!

                      • John Prophet

                        Could not agree more!
                        Great write ✍️

                        • L. B. Mek

thought a fellow scribbler like you, may agree
                          keyboards in-hand then, dear poet
                          let's spill ourselves - bare
                          and shed, this earthly existence
                          free, of any regret

                        • Neville

Let the truth be known, let the truth be out .. come listen, hear, see, feel, sniff n shout .... that's only part of what this game's all about ........... a little work of art you have gifted us here Mek ................. Neville

                          • L. B. Mek

                            'scribbling our truth's', 'expressing ourselves'
                            word it how you like
and there's no rhyme or reason needed
for me to like your writing
or for you to tolerate mine, it's all about
                            making that connection
ink, syllables and words are just the minor details...
(thank you Hyung, I won't lie
it was fellow truth scribblers, like you
                            at MPS
that helped inspire this humble write)
